M&E Quantity Surveyor
Didcot, Oxfordshire

Salary: £65k - £75k dependant on experience

We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and respected M&E Contractor based in South Oxfordshire. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the costs and financial aspects of construction projects involving mechanical and electrical systems. You will work closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate project costs and prepare tender documents

  • Analyse and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Negotiate contracts and manage project budgets

  • Review and manage subcontractor accounts and payments

  • Identify and manage project risks and variations

  • Provide regular cost reports and forecasts to clients and stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software programs
